Doug is a seasoned lawyer and founding partner of Blue Rock Law. He had the honor of serving as an elected official in Alberta, where he held the positions of Minister of Justice and Minister of Jobs, Economy, and Innovation.

Doug’s extensive background in law and government gives him a unique perspective on navigating and catalyzing change in complex regulatory environments.

Josh Malate, P.Eng.

Co-Founder

Josh Malate is a dynamic engineer and entrepreneur with a diverse portfolio of ventures. He was the co-founder of a global legal technology firm, Athennian, and has served as an investor/advisor to over thirty innovative companies.

Josh’s background gives him an innate understanding of the strategies for building innovative products in complex markets.
