As the pace of generative AI adoption continues to accelerate across the regulatory, legal, and energy sectors, we’re focused on making sure our users always have access to the most current tools, guidance, and learning resources.

This month, we’re excited to share three updates that reflect that commitment — from making our Help Centre public, to offering hands-on prompting advice, to sharing where you can connect with us next in person.

🚀 The Help Centre Is Now Public

We’ve made a major change that makes learning Ultimarii easier than ever: the Ultimarii Help Centre is now a public library.

You’ll now find it listed right alongside our other public datasets, meaning you can access the same “how-to” documentation, guides, and examples we use internally to support customers. This shift also makes it easier for us to ensure that every instruction and tutorial remains accurate and up to date, as the Help Centre will now be refreshed monthly in sync with our public library updates.

But that’s not all — the Help Centre is more than static documentation. You can now chat directly with it just like you would with any other agent in Ultimarii.

Ask it practical questions such as:

“How do I upload documents?”
“Where can I access Playbooks?”
“How do I create a new private library?”

Or, take it a step further — use it as a prompting coach. The Help Centre can help you refine your prompts, add more context, and learn techniques to get sharper, more consistent results from the platform.

We built it to be both a learning partner and a productivity tool. The Help Centre can guide you not only navigate Ultimarii but also become a more confident, effective generative AI user.

💡 Prompt Tips: Getting the Most from Your Inputs

Generative AI is powerful, but the results depend on how you ask. This month, we’re sharing three practical prompt techniques that anyone can use — whether you’re reviewing regulatory filings, drafting project summaries, or generating internal reports.

1. Set Your Role

Giving the AI a defined perspective helps it tune the language and content. Try:

“Write this like an executive summary.”
“Explain this for a new analyst.”

This helps shape tone, depth, and framing — so your result reads more like something you’d actually send or present.

2. Use Descriptors

Add adjectives or qualifiers to guide the tone and structure:

“Make this concise and professional.”
“Write a detailed overview with examples.”

Even small cues like these can make the difference between a generic answer and a tailored, actionable one.

3. Ask for Structure

If you know how you want the output formatted, say so. For instance:

“Summarize this in bullet points.”
“Create a 1-page brief with headings.”

Defining structure gives the model boundaries — and boundaries lead to better, faster results.

The takeaway: the more context and clarity you give, the stronger your results will be.

⚖️ Regulatory Updates — September 2025

Rule changes were light this month, but there are still a few updates worth noting across the regulatory landscape:

  • BCEREnvironmental Protection and Management Guideline (September 2025)
  • AUC Rule 035Revised Filing Requirements for Distribution Tariffs (September 2025)
  • BCUCRules of Practice and Procedure (August 2025)
  • IAACDesignating a Project under the Impact Assessment Act (September 2025)
  • NRCBFact Sheet: Public Interest Reviews of Proposed Major Natural Resource Projects in Alberta (September 2025)

As always, you can explore these updates directly through Ultimarii’s public libraries, which are refreshed monthly to ensure you’re working from the latest authoritative versions.

🧭 What’s Next

We’re always looking for ways to support the growing need for AI literacy and hands-on learning in regulatory and legal environments. In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing details on an in-person learning opportunity focused on helping teams develop stronger prompting skills and practical confidence in applying AI across daily workflows.

This session will focus on real-world use cases — not theory — and will draw from the same frameworks we’ve developed for clients across utilities, legal, and energy organizations. Stay tuned for more details soon.

And if you’d like to connect with us in person this month, we’ll be at the Canada Gas Association Energy Nexus & Annual Technical Conference 2025.

📅 October 27–30, 2025
📍 Calgary TELUS Convention Centre, Calgary, AB
Theme: Fuelling the Future

We’ll be sharing how organizations are using Ultimarii to accelerate research, improve decision transparency, and reduce time-to-insight, all while maintaining compliance and trust.

If you’re attending, come by and say hello, we’d love to meet you.

✨ Final Thoughts

As Ultimarii continues to evolve, our focus remains the same: helping you harness AI safely, effectively, and intelligently. Whether that’s through better prompting, smarter tools, or new ways to learn.

To explore what’s new or connect with our team, visit the Help Centre in your public library list or reach out directly through your Ultimarii workspace.

Stay tuned — and we’ll see many of you soon in Calgary.
